Leslie Buggs

Leslie Buggs was born and raised in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee. Her educational journey led her to obtain a Master’s Degree in Biology as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders.

With a robust career spanning 16 years in the field of childcare, Leslie has devoted her life to nurturing and educating young minds. In December 2017, she founded the Future Leaders of Excellence Academy, a testament to her commitment and vision for high-quality early childhood education.

Leslie’s dedication to inclusivity is evident in her passion for integrating children of all abilities into the early childhood setting. She believes in creating an environment where every child can thrive, learn, and grow together.

Outside of her professional life, Leslie enjoys indulging in her love for shoes, exploring new travel destinations, and savoring diverse culinary experiences. She is also the proud aunt of two nieces.

Meet Erica Mason, a dedicated professional with a passion for early childhood education. With eight years of experience in the field, Erica’s journey at FLOE Academy spans five enriching years. Starting in the heart of the infant/toddler room, Erica’s commitment to nurturing young minds has now led her to the esteemed position of Assistant Director.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Erica brings a unique blend of compassion and expertise to her role. Beyond her professional endeavors, Erica finds joy in her role as a mother to a spirited seven-year-old daughter. Together, they embark on adventures, exploring the wonders of travel, camping, and cherishing moments with loved ones.

For Erica, the essence of FLOE Academy lies not only in its educational mission but also in the sense of camaraderie fostered among its team. She speaks fondly of her colleagues, emphasizing the collaborative spirit that fuels their collective dedication to childcare excellence. In particular, Erica acknowledges the leadership of Ms. Leslie, whose guidance and support have been invaluable on this journey.

In every interaction and endeavor, Erica embodies the values of compassion, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to early childhood development. At FLOE Academy, she is not just an educator but a beacon of inspiration for the next generation.

Meet Bobbie Waters, a seasoned professional with an unwavering dedication to the field of childcare. With over 20 years of invaluable experience, Bobbie has been an integral part of FLOE Academy since its inception on December 4, 2017. Starting as a teacher and now serving as the Assistant Director, Bobbie’s trajectory is marked by a profound commitment to her craft, with aspirations to ascend to the role of Director in the near future.

For Bobbie, her work at the center transcends mere employment—it’s a profound passion and a lifelong career. Her pursuit of excellence is evidenced by her ongoing journey to obtain her Child Development Associate credential, a testament to her unwavering dedication to professional growth and development.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Bobbie finds fulfillment in her roles as a parent to four children and a grandparent to four cherished grandchildren. In her cherished moments of leisure, Bobbie indulges in the simple pleasures of life—savoring delicious meals and embracing the restorative power of sleep.

Rachael Moore

Rachael Moore, a resident of Springfield, TN, is a dedicated professional with a passion for childcare. For the past eight years, she has immersed herself in the field, nurturing young minds and fostering their development.

Driven by her love for teaching, Rachael aspires to become a kindergarten teacher, where she can continue to make a positive impact on children’s lives. Her enthusiasm for guiding youngsters and imparting knowledge reflects her genuine dedication to education.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Rachael finds joy in outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and cherishing moments with her loved ones. She has a liking for shopping, often frequenting stores like Walmart, Bath and Body Works, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Target, and Amazon.

Nena Franklin

Meet Nena Franklin, who has had the pleasure of working at Future Leaders of Excellence Academy for the past year, where her greatest passion is caring for infants and nurturing their development. Her love for this work drives her toward furthering her education, as she plans to pursue a teaching degree in English and early childhood education.

In her free time, Nena enjoys immersing herself in music. She loves playing the trumpet and dancing, both of which bring her immense joy. Additionally, she finds inspiration in writing poetry while listening to Christian R&B music, and she enjoys learning new languages as a creative hobby.

Nena Franklin – Playful Pals

Meet Lauren Treftz, a proud five year veteran of FLOE Academy, where her passion for childcare continues to thrive. Before joining FLOE, she gained valuable experience teaching middle school art and music, along with a year of experience in childcare.

An Army veteran, Lauren served as a public relations specialist, specializing in photojournalism and mass communications. She holds a degree from the School of Supernatural Ministry and is currently advancing her studies in early childhood education.

Her deep passion for behavioral health is inspired by her son, and her journey into childcare has been shaped by this personal connection. Lauren also has a 14-year-old beagle mix, who teaches her daily lessons in patience. She is genuinely committed to her work and looks forward to continuing her growth and learning alongside her students.
